Dayton Realtors agrees. The organization has consistently been the largest contributor to the Toys for Tots program in the Dayton area, having donated countless thousands of toys and over $91,000 to the cause since 1984. To show their continued support for the needy children of the Miami Valley, the REALTORS®’ trade association once again dedicated their annual Holiday Reception to the United States Marine Corps’ international Toys for Tots program.
The annual REALTORS® Holiday Reception took place on Wednesday, December 8, at the Mandalay Banquet Center and drew an attendance of over 300 Realtors with more than 1,000 brand new toys and over $3,600 contributed to the Dayton area’s needy children.
“This is our 37th year of dedicating our annual Holiday Reception to Toys for Tots,” explained Dayton REALTORS® president Sharon Geier. “I’m always amazed at the number of toys we are able to donate to the Marines. It is always incredibly heartwarming to see their military trucks filled to the brim with new gifts for needy children. Our REALTOR® and affiliate members truly appreciate and believe in the Toys for Tots program.”
Representatives from the local Marines Corps Reserve Unit were on hand to accept the contributed toys. Santa and Mrs. Claus were also be there to express their gratitude to the Marines and to pose for pictures with REALTOR® attendees.
