Grant applications twice each year.

The Dayton REALTORS® Foundation accepts grant applications twice each year. Applications for 2024 are currently open for projects looking to start in the 2rd Quarter of 2024.

Grants from the Dayton REALTORS® Foundation are made available to local nonprofits, cities and community groups interested in achieving results focused around improving and increasing homeownership, community amenities, and improving business development climate.

 
 
Applicants

10 Principles of Smart Growth.

Grants will be awarded to applicants who meet one or more of the 10 Principles of Smart Growth as advocated by the National Association of REALTORS®.

  1. Building and improving mix land uses
  2. Taking advantage of compact building design (tiny homes, affordable housing, etc)
  3. Creating a range of housing opportunities and choices
  4. Creating more walkable neighborhoods
  5. Fostering distinctive, attractive communities with a strong sense of place
  6. Preserving open space, farmland, natural beauty, and critical environmental areas
  7. Strengthening and directing development towards existing communities
  8. Providing a variety of transportation choices for consumers
  9. Making development decisions predictable, fair, and cost effective
  10. Encouraging community and stakeholder collaboration in development decisions

Application for 2024

Applications may only be submitted online. Complete the form below to request access to the 2024 grant application. Potential applicants are encouraged to discuss their request with Foundation staff in advance of submission. Please contact Bob Jones at ​bjones@daytonrealtors.org​.

Grants will be accepted on a biannual basis. The first grant period will be between the months of first quarter and second quarter of the year, with projects taking place in the third and fourth quarter of the year. During the third and fourth quarter months, new projects will be accepted, which will take place in the following year’s first and second quarter.

    Decision by Foundation Board of Directors and notification of grant status

  • May 1

    Final award amounts confirmed and disbursed to applicants
