“Every child deserves a little Christmas.”

Dayton Realtors agrees. The organization has consistently been the largest contributor to the Toys for Tots program in the Dayton area, having donated countless thousands of toys and over $57,000 to the cause since 1984. To show their continued support for the needy children of the Miami Valley, the Realtors’ trade association will once again dedicate their annual Holiday Reception to the United States Marine Corps’ international Toys for Tots program.

The annual Realtors Holiday Reception is today, Wednesday, December 5, at the Mandalay Banquet Center, from 4-6 p.m. Last year’s party drew an attendance of over 300 Realtors with more than 1,000 brand new toys and over $4,000 contributed to the Dayton area’s needy children.

“This is our 34th year of dedicating our annual Holiday Reception to Toys for Tots,” explains board president Bob Morrison. “I’m always amazed at the number of toys we are able to donate to the Marines. It was incredibly heartwarming to see their military trucks filled to the brim with new gifts for needy children. Our Realtor and affiliate members truly appreciate and believe in the Toys for Tots program.”

Representatives from the local Marines Corps Reserve Unit will be on hand to accept the contributed toys. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be there to express their gratitude to the Marines and to pose for pictures with Realtor attendees.

If individuals or families would like to donate toys to support this event, simply drop off items at the nearest real estate brokerage office and they will make sure the toys are delivered to the event.
